Photo Restoration & Repair Description

Most of us still have lots of beautiful photographs in our homes – each one, a treasured timestamp that tells a story. And where a majority of them may not be on display anymore, it feels a shame to not be able to look at them quickly and conveniently, share on social media with friends, or have the option to enlarge or duplicate as gift ideas.

There are 3 tiers to our Photo Restoration service. We’ll ask you to estimate the level of restoration your image requires when you place your order, but please note we will review your selection on receipt of the image in question. If we need to up the level of service, we’ll contact you. As a guide, this is what each tier covers:

Basic – Small scratches, dust removal

Medium – Tears, creases, water damage and fading

Full repair – Major damage and intensive restoration work

I approached The Memory Lab with a number of very old and very damaged photos.
All of them being extremely precious to our family, I was anxious to let them go to a company – however, Beth makes the service so personal, I felt very comfortable and confident that she would take care of our special photos, which she absolutely did.

Some were practically in half, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were blown away with what’s been achieved.
We received the original photos back and a USB full of our new and improved versions, that we can now keep and share with the whole family.

I’d also like to add how refreshing it was to see transparent pricing structures and no hidden costs, as well as a clear invoice with a breakdown of the cost. (We had some slide scanning done, as well as restoration).

    Highly Recommend!

I commissioned a colourisation of a sepia photo of my husband’s grandparents to gift to my mother-in-law. I had never had the opportunity to meet them but Beth’s careful restoration really made them come alive. My husband’s grandfather was Danish and the way she captured his Nordic characteristics was phenomenal. Pricing was transparent and very good value for money, particularly when you consider the joy that the restorations can bring. Quick turnaround too, and all in all, an easy service to use. I’d highly recommend the Memory Lab and would definitely use them again.

The memory lab have done an amazing job of restoring a photo for my family & also developing it into a colour version. The service was second to non, the quality was truly exceptional & the price very reasonable. Delighted with the outcome. A very professional job, I would highly recommend. Thank you.
